Lifelong Volunteering with M.C. Moore and Dr. William Callarman

In this extra special episode of Business Edge, guests M.C. Moore and Dr. William Callarman speak about their time volunteering for Alpha Kappa Psi. Both guests were recipients of Gold DSAs (Distinguished Service Awards) at the 61st Convention in Miami, which is the highest and most prestigious award that brothers may receive.

M.C. is the Alpha Kappa Psi Area 4 Vice President, Gold DSA Recipient, Beta Xi at Virginia Tech alumnus, and an Agile Coach at CapTech Consulting. He is also an Associate Professor in the Department of Business at Morris Brown College. As a servant leader with a passion for lifelong learning, he has assisted numerous Scrum teams at their formation, growth and maturity, and in some cases, dissolution. As an information technology software delivery professional, M.C. possesses a unique blend of decades of business and technology experience in Financial Services, Hospitality, Pharmaceutical, and Retail industries.

“Dr. C” is the Faculty Advisor of the Nu Chi Chapter – University of Central Florida, Gold DSA Recipient. He became a member of AKPsi at West Texas State University in 1962. Both his father and brother are also AKPsi. He is an Associate Professor Emeritus at UCF, retiring in 2005, teaching there for 35 years. Even though retired, he continues as Nu Chi’s Faculty Advisor where he has served since 1992. He also served as the Central Florida Section Director for three years before becoming a member of the AKPsi Board of Directors where he served for six years. In addition to AKPsi he continues to coach two youth soccer teams and is an adult leader of his church’s youth group.
